COGIC Department of Health

The Community Health Initiative was borne of the Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) Department of Health with the mission to improve the overall health and wellness of the community through education and the most cost-effective services available. The Community Health Initiative was developed by Elder Readus C. Smith and offered to COGIC churches as a full-service health program. Though the Initiative has expanded its outreach to membership outside of the church, its roots lie in the COGIC Department of Health.
